How to Make People Love You 100%
Most of us want to feel accepted, appreciated and loved, at least by the right people. Here’s how to become someone people love to have in their inner circle.
1. Be proud of your people
Anyone who actually does things makes mistakes. Meanwhile the world is full of people on the sidelines, doing little with their own lives and giving thumbs down to everyone who tries. Your people don’t need another trash talker, least of all in their inner circle.
Focus on what they’ve achieved. Tell them they make you proud. Remind them: “Remember when you did this? You’re doing really well.” If you keep reminding someone of their mistakes, you become a painful subject in their life and they’ll drift towards people who make them feel good. Be the one who reminds them of the good moments.
2. Be confident with them
Your confidence rubs off. Whether it’s your child, your partner, a friend or a sibling: when they dare to do something out of the box, like publishing a video, releasing a song or chasing an unusual career, having someone stand their ground beside them and say “you’ve got this, I’m here with you” changes everything.
3. Bring positive energy
If you always bring low energy into the hangout, talk them down or talk yourself down, you become an energy vampire, and nobody wants that around. You don’t need an audience of millions to be a positive influence. You just need your inner circle of 3, 5, 10 or 20 people to feel loved and not judged when you’re there.
4 and 5: authenticity and support
In the video I talk about the “magic” in authenticity: why being fully yourself, excitement and imperfections included, attracts the right people and quietly pushes the wrong ones away. And about being the one people can grab onto when the storm hits, because what you give is what you receive.
