Feel Like You’ve Lost Control of Your Life? Choose Your Role in the Game

Mike Masters 1 min read Article + video

There’s a big game being played on this planet, and every human being has to play it. It’s called life, and it has many roles you can play.

Roles are assigned, unless you choose

Some roles are more powerful than others. Most people don’t know how to position themselves consciously, so they’re handed a role at random, usually one that doesn’t serve them.

The better roles get taken first, by the people shaping the game: the artists, celebrities and creators who influence how everyone else plays. What’s left goes to everyone else. And when there’s a huge supply of something, like ten million apples, nobody values a single one. That’s partly why so many people feel inferior: they took whatever was put on their plate, because they didn’t know they had a choice.

Meditation shows you the rules

Meditation reveals some of the secrets of life, and the more you understand the game, the better you can position yourself in it. Keep going, and you can crack its code, becoming a conscious creator who doesn’t just play a role but shapes the game, like the admin of a video game.

One thing to take away

Start doing things, consciously, that lead you into a better state of being and a better headspace. Then tomorrow you don’t have to follow the crowd or accept whatever is served to you. You’ll have a choice. Do you want to keep lowering your head in front of everyone, or start creating the game and having fun with it?

Keep going
