Feel Like a Failure? Read This
Failure is a state of being, a feeling, just like success. And if you feel like a failure, there’s a good chance you’re looking at yourself through other people’s eyes.
Whose eyes are you using?
People judge. They focus on your negative sides, your bad experiences, the things you got wrong. If you let their image of you become your self-image, you’ll feel like a failure every day.
But they’ve only seen a handful of your experiences. You’ve seen every one of them since the day you were born: learning to walk, learning to talk, learning to use a computer, and countless other things. You have a lot to be proud of.
It’s a choice
Very often we’re also focusing on our own negative sides. Look at what you’ve just been through and see the greatness in it. There’s nothing wrong with being proud of yourself.
What changes when you feel successful
When you feel like a failure, everything feels heavy: “Do I really have to face this? Do I really have to do this task?” When you feel successful, you can’t wait to dive into the unknown, take on new challenges and finish your daily tasks. You start enjoying what you do, and having fun with it. Don’t let anyone knock you down so easily again.
